We did 3 days worth of sessions at the Toledo School for the Arts recently and had a great experience. We did 3 classes and each class was its own band and each did a song. I will be posting at least one of the songs on the site soon. We will also be doing sessions at TSAs' Guitar Fest on Saturday March 26

Just picked up 2 pieces of gear this weekend. First a Vox Pathfinder. I love these amps. They are small but have an amazing tone and boy they are loud for their size. Also the controls are simple and they have a great on-board tremolo. We also got an AKG D112 Kick Drum and Bass Cab microphone. This mic was on our wish list for way too long. I have used them in many other studios and now we have the beast ourselves. See ya soon - Paul

Just finished the mixes for the Fall Concert. Mr. Song the conductor
picked them up last week. They came out great. Also got a certificate
from the TIYO signed by the orchestras leaders as well as Toledo Mayor
Mike Bell and State Representative Marcy Kaptur. I think we have done 7
or 8 projects with them now. A picture of the certificate is on the pics
page. This is NOT to say "look at us!" but just like it says the very
best quality and attention to detail are our first priorities.

Finally
we have a Protools mixing board or "control surface" to work on!
Yeah!!! Great preamps and fully automated touch sensitive motorized
faders LED meters. Everything we need to really get into our tracking
sessions and mixes that a mouse could never deliver. Ive done a few
sessions on it already and am loving it!! You should see this thing in
"VEGAS MODE"!

Well its been a while since Ive posted an update but thats
a good thing. We have been doing alot. Last week we had 3 bands in one
day for a recording for Big Brothers big Sisters of Toledo. I dropped
off the mixes today Down Town at 104.7 WIOT so they could auction the
project off for the benefit of the organization. Got a full tour of the
place. Very Cool! Lots of old audio equipment that I could drool over.
The bands that we recorded for the project were Greyline, Test to the
Theory and Abnormal Conditions. I (Paul Wise) also added a song that I
had been working on called "Carry Me".

We
have been working on a song "Doesnt Matter" with Krystal for a couple
weeks. The gospel R&B sound is something that I love working with.
Very good vocals in this one. Some of the best songs come out of
difficult circumstances.

Did
the concert recording for the Toledo Symphony tonight. A lot of hard
work but we captured very good sounding tracks. This was their last
weekend for the season so they were really playing well. Went off
without a hitch. They played along side Westgate Chapels rhythm section
and choir. huge sound directed by Don Benoit and TSO conductor Chelsea
Tipton II {his last weekend as resident conductor of the TSO}. It was
easy to get lost in the music that was coming off that stage. Thats a
good thing. Just ask Fred Schuman at Durdels Music, he had the best
seat in the house playing guitar sitting right between the 2 string
sections!

have a great record after this is all over. First time we have recorded
the Toledo Symphony. What an honor!
